Friends, loyal sippers, and spirit lovers,
With a heart full of gratitude, and a bittersweet tear, we said farewell to our beloved home in mendocino county, following the lure of family to Butte County. We had truly hoped we could keep the magic of the craft distillery from afar, unfortunately the miles and hours were finally acknowledged to be tougher than expected.
So, with a heavy heart and great sadness, we decided to voluntarily surrender our California Craft Distiller’s license for our Mendocino County location as of August 31, 2025. Like the closing of a favorite book, knowing the story isn’t nearly finished but this chapter has ended.
To all of you, our incredible community of enthusiasts, tasters, and story-sharers—thank you. Your support has been the spice in our Vine Shines, the botanicals in our gin, the secrets in The Preacher’s Cut, and pretty much the spirit in every bottle we’ve bottled. We’ll miss the laughter that echoed through our tasting room, and the stories we swapped like secret recipes. You’ve been our inspiration, and we’ll carry your spirit in our hearts forever.
But don’t worry, while we won’t be crafting spirits or making any spirit sales in Mendocino County after August 31, 2025. Our website and social media will be keeping our swag and side hustle goodies available online for those who want a piece of our idiosyncratic charm and creative crafts. Think of bottle bags, coasters, ornaments, and whatever else we come up with…
as usual, there is always twist in our tale: we’re not giving up the ghost! We are (ever so slowly) working on the deets and fleshing out the workability of the distillery location in Butte County. The same head distiller, spice perfector, name, fabulous spirits (and maybe a few new ones to tantalize your taste buds), all in a fresh, new, delightful spot. We’re not saying goodbye forever; we’re just saying, “See you in the next chapter of our spirit expedition.”
